Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) to pursue societal change through a lens of
faith and justice. Kurdistan Region comprised of many faith traditions,

socio- ethnic-religious-political landscape
by emphasizing justice and healing.
This manual recognizes the powerful potential of
religion as a contemporary resource for development and acknowledges that faith
actors must be consistently aligned to generate sustained change (Schliesser,
2023, p. 14). WoF have a unique perspective to align their spiritual
inheritance with principles of justice, fairness, and equality in their
communities.
The manual highlights concrete actions women can take such
as organizing dialogues, writing petitions, collaborating with leaders, and
responsibly using social media. It draws attention to ways of addressing
injustice in communities and emphasizes the importance of connecting women
across different communities to increase their collective power. This manual
seeks to provide tools and examples to empower and inspire women to lead
initiatives and create leadership opportunities that can overcome cultural
barriers, fostering an environment of empowerment and positive change. Each section
is designed to guide women on a new path toward imagining justice through
faith, with the goal of creating a more equitable and peaceful society where women
are at the forefront of advocacy and decision making.
