The Kurdistan Center for International Law met with the United States Consulate in Erbil. The meeting focused on the rule of law, the independence of the judiciary, human rights and fundamental freedoms in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and the importance of respecting the general principles of international law in dealing with legal issues.

At the meeting, both sides agreed to work together to further monitor human rights violations and to assess the applicable laws in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
